I am PhD in Palaeontology with European mention by the University Autónoma of Madrid (UAM) and holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). After my Thesis dissertation in 08/11/2013, I have improved my international scope working as postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Functional Genomics of Lyon (France) within the Evo-Devo of Vertebrate Dentition research group led by Professor Laurent Viriot. An actually I am linked to the Catalan Institute of Paleontology as researcher at the Research Group of Neogene & Quaternary Faunas. My doctoral thesis entitled: "Bioclimatic and paleoecological analysis of rodent faunas of the Iberian Upper Middle Miocene" supervised by Dr M. Hernandez Fernandez and Dr M.A. Álvarez-Sierra, was focused on the study of morphological information of rodent teeth to infer ecological features that can be used in paleoenvironmental interpretations of the past. Particularly, my works focused on the rich inheritance of deposits of the Upper Miocene of the Iberian Peninsula and southern France but also in the study of their extant relatives. My academic training has been complemented by various specialised international courses focusing on the main theme of my dissertation: geometric morphometrics and ecomorphology. In this regard, my postdoc offered me the opportunity to continue working on the basis of skills acquired in the course of my doctoral thesis and apply them to new taxa, which allows me to expand my range of studio facing new problems and challenges. Also, my attachment to the Institute of Functional Genomics of Lyon team is allowing me to acquire new knowledge within the management of research and computerised tomography image management techniques and software for image analysis. I have more than 8 years of experience in research work (more than 100 months in the European framework of Full-time postgraduate research experience), during which my career is developed in a multidisciplinary field that has been largely benefited from national collaborations (through projects, publications and conferences) and international collaborations. I obtained short-term stays at international Institutions granted in competitive calls (national and international calls): in 2009 at American Museum of Natural History (New York, USA), in 2010 and 2011 in Université Claude Bernard (Lyon, France) and 2016 in the Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Leiden, The Netherlands). Moreover, I have 18 months of international experience as a postdoc, since December 2013 I was hired as postdoc researcher linked to the Evo-Devo of Vertebrate dentition team at Institute of Functional Genomics of Lyon (France). Moreover, during this time I have been actively involved in different tasks within the field of science that include, in addition to publications in SCI journals, organizing conferences, scientific reviews, but also involving fieldworks in paleontological excavations, including, among others, participation in sites of international importance as "Atapuerca" (UCM) and "Batallones" (Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales-CSIC ). Additionally, I have worked extensively in teaching assignments covering various disciplines in the field of palaeontology, geology and biology at the Complutense University of Madrid and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona for degree subjects and master subjects. In 2015 I obtained my accreditation as University Teacher and Researcher at Museum of Natural History through the National Accreditation Agency of France (Conseil National des Universités). I was the supervisor of two master students at the UCM, and now I am supervising two PhD students. I have been selected as a member of two Doctoral Thesis Tribunal presented by Ms Adriana Oliver (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and Ms Blanca Moncunill Solé (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona) and as an external reporter of the Doctoral Thesis Tribunal presented by Ms Blanca García Yelo (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). Finally, over these years I have acquired through practice, knowledge in the development of outreach and dissemination of scientific content both for a general and specialised public. I am the web administrator and collaborator of several websites and blogs. As an early-stage postdoctoral researcher, I own desire to continue learning and continue to complete my professional profile to advance a scientific career.
